Save Kobra Campaign

Kobra Rahmanpour has suffered enough! She has wasted her entire youth in prison.
I pray that the family of the deceased realize that two wrongs don't make a right and find it in their heart to pardon her for the offence.
The Judges should consider her injust childhood and the conditions that led her to become "enslaved" in a marriage to a man much older than her own father. I hope the judges consider that she is a victim of circumstance- a life of poverty- and while murder is a horrible offence, in the case of Kobra Rahmanpour she alleges that she acted in self defence after her mother in law came at her with a knife. Medical examiners show that the wounds on her hand testify that she had grabed the knife away from the mother in law. Kobra Rahmanpour did not premeditate this act.
Kobra Rahmanpour has undergone 7 years of psychological torture while in prison not knowing whether or not she will be executed. On many occasions she has said with fright that she feels the noos around her neck.
The international community must act in solidarity to help save this young woman's life and others like Nazanin Mahabad Fatehi, Malak Ghorbani, Delare Darabi and others. We must band together to help change the laws so that no others become victimized.
